The location of Moore House is excellent, right in the heart of the old town and a very short stroll from the beach. It is close to some excellent restaurants and shopping areas, with everything that we wanted to do being walkable from the doorstep. The room was large with big windows letting in a lot of light. The bed is very comfy, and I liked the fact that real milk was provided in the fridge for coffee and tea instead of ghastly UHT pots. Shower is large, with plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels, we did search in vain for a light switch but they were automatic. The breakfast was great, home made / local produce cooked to order with plentiful portions that very definitely set you up for the day. Staff are all really lovely, we arrived a little early so were able to take a room key whilst the room was finished & drop off coats and bags, which had been placed in out room when we got back. They have plenty of glasses and and an ice machine if you want a drink, which was a nice thought.

Charlotte, the owner, was a superb host. She was extremely helpful and actually phoned us about a query when we were out and about. We chose the hotel because we prefer smaller, individually owned places and the Moore Guest House didn't disappoint. Location was fantastic, which is partly why we chose it. Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice. In the room there was a massive selection of specialist teas plus coffee bags. What else can I say? Everything was perfect and we'd certainly choose it again when we next visit.

Pleasant and service-friendly staff. The owners were pleasant to talk to and were concerned that you enjoyed yourself. Good breakfast with daily fruit included. You had to choose breakfast from a menu which was then prepared in the kitchen. The location of the hotel is excellent in Hastings old town. Close to everything. The pub next door, which has the same owner, served an outstanding sea bass. The pub has a courtyard where you can eat under an old grape plant.

Exceptional design of each room - I don’t have enough words to describe my delight. And the rooms are spacious. Lovely detail: there’s a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge to add to your tea. The breakfast is also very good, and the presentation is very elegant. The staff is friendly and helpful. For dinner we’ve been to Porters next door (that belongs to the same family), and enjoyed the food and music very much!

Great location tucked away in the old town part of Hastings, close to interesting shops, great pubs, restaurants and cafes. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the room was decorated beautifully and immaculately clean. Bathroom spotless and the shower is brilliant! Nice communal dining room/lounge. I chose the French toast with fruit, yoghurt and honey for breakfast, which was delicious.
